What’s New?

A Free Seminar on Mobilizing and Managing Resources for Non-Profits was held at the Megatrade Conference Center,  SMMegamall, Mandaluyong City today.  The seminar was jointly sponsored by Venture for Fund Raising and Banco de Oro (BDO). Mr. Nestor V. Tan, BDO Universal Bank President welcomed participants from 150 NGOs who responded to the invitation from BDO and Venture for Fund Raising.  Friendship Home was represented by Elin Mondejar.

The speaker for the First Session was Ms. Mayan G. Quebral, Executive Director of Venture for Fund Raising.  Her topic was about Fund Raising Concepts, Strategies and Planning Steps. She spoke about basic principles of fund raising and various fund raising strategies to give the participants an idea of what they can do to raise resources for their respective organizations.  Her talk also covered effective steps in developing fund raising plans.

Mr. Anthony Emmanuel C. de Dios, Assistant Vice President, BDO Trust and Investment Groups was the resource person for the Second Session on the topic:  “Making Your Money Work for You.”  As described in the program agenda, the theme of this session could be summed up in this statement: 
You’ve worked to raise that money.  Now its time to make that money work for you.”

The seminar was capped by an Open Forum, awarding of some raffle prizes from BDO and gift tokens from Venture for Fund Raising.
