AN INVITATION TO JOIN A HERO’S JOURNEY . . .

On 5 March 1986 three members of the religious congregation of the  Amigonian Fathers and Brothers arrived in the Philippines from Spain.  In accordance with the spiritual legacy of their founder, Fr. Luis Amigo, their mission was “to look for those who are lost and to bring them back into the fold of the Good Shepherd.”  Five years later, Friendship Home Fr. Luis Amigo was established and is now going on its nineteenth year, addressing the needs of children and youth in especially difficult circumstances thru integral educational and social welfare services.

To celebrate the Silver Anniversary of the arrival and mission of the Amigonian Fathers and Brothers in the Philippines in 2011 , Friendship Home is thinking of coming out with stories about Your  best memories, reflections or testimonies   as a beneficiary, volunteer, staff, sponsor, donor or partner in the great work of “creating a Kingdom of Heaven on Earth for children.”  We hope to compile this in a book where everyone’s contributions will form part of a hero’s journey.  At the end of the road, we hope that these will be a guide for our children to find that the hero is within themselves.
